Winterformalisoneofthemosthighlyanticipatedevents of the school year. This is one of the only events where thew whole high school gathers dressed in their best to dance the night away.
This year ASB put a lot of thought into the 2015 formal theme. Events Commissioner Jessica Thorson (12) explains,“Wewentthroughtonsofdifferentthemestrying to figure out which one the students would be the most excited about. Since formal is usually around the time of MardiGrasitworkedoutperfectly.Visuallyitwouldbefun because we could do decorations with vibrant colors and hand out colorful masks that people could wear. I think it turned out really well!” When asked what her biggest accomplishmentofthisyearsdancewas,Jessicawasquick torespondwith,“Thecrepestand!Weusuallyhavealotof
savoryfoodatformalbutpeoplewouldneverreally want to eat it. The crepes were sweet and delicious. A crowd pleaser and it fit in well with the Mardi Gras theme.”
Kimberly Ho (12) attended the formal and reflects on the night stating, “A night of dancing is a night of fun times.WelldoneASB!”Theplaylistfortheeveningwas a school wide collaboration as ASB took as many student suggestions as they could to appeal to everyonesmusicaltaste.Thebiggesthitsofthe evening included the chocolate fountain, the divine gelato cart and the photo booth.
