ST ANNE'S
A TYPICAL DAY &
GENERAL INFORMATION
Millfield is a fantastic place to live and work. It offers DAILY
amazing opportunities. We’ll do our best to help you settle
in. However, at some stage, you will feel low: homesickness, ROUTINE
missing your parents/friends/pets, longing to be in your own
bedroom again…this is perfectly normal. The times you 07:00 Wake-up
want to phone home will probably be those low times.

Think about talking to us before worrying your parents.
We are here for you. Try to phone home when you can and 07:40 Bus departs from St Anne's

ADVICE TO PARENTS
Please don’t hesitate to make contact with us if you are 18:00

have a tendency not to ring home when they are busy and (apart from Fridays and Saturdays)
happy, leaving parents worried. The reverse can also be true:

their concerns on their parents, leaving you worried. Please
don’t hesitate to get in touch for reassurance in this event.
19:00 Prep begins
FIRST WEEKS
We hope you will soon feel that the House is a friendly,
comfortable place in which to spend your school years. 20:30 Prep finishes for all students
We will have lots of meetings for you to get to know each
other and the staff when you first join. You will go through a
thorough induction process so you are aware of all the rules
of the House and school quickly and at the same time, be 20:45
confident with your surroundings. - 21.30 Free time
Our aim is to make St Anne’s a happy and relaxed
environment for its boys so that they may thrive within 21:30 Orderly duties and device hand in
the school and achieve their full potential academically, - 21.45
sportingly, dramatically and musically - or in whatever way is
right for them. Mutual consideration, tolerance and respect
are essential if this is to be achieved; boarding life does 21:45 Year 10 to bed (lights out 10.00)
require everyone to respect rules for the good of all rather
than necessarily permitting individual freedoms. If you are
boarding for the first time, this is an important point to bear 22:00 Year 11 to bed (lights out 10.15)
in mind as you will be living as part of a community.
