HOW TO CLEAN PATIENT TOUCHABLE SURFACES
Cross contamination occurs when germs are transferred from one surface to another and picked up by staff, visitors, Patients or Patients touching the infected surface and wiping the germs onto parts of their body.
In the same way we are encouraged to clean our hands properly before we enter and clean another room, it is just as important that our cloths are also cleaned
between rooms.
It is impossible for us to clean our cloths the same way we clean and dry our hands so we therefore need to have new, pre moistened, ready to use cloths available on our trolley for each new area we are going to clean.
