Executive Director’s Message
MATT SOLAK
FIGHTING REGULATORY POLICIES
I hope everyone is having a good start to winter. As we know, in our industry winter provides excitement but also nervousness about unanticipated problems that may occur. I am confident that our association and you the members will be able to successfully face any challenges this winter. The PPGA is here to assist with any of those challenges so please don’t hesitate to contact me.
As 2023 ends, I encourage members to take advantage of the 2023 rebate program. Funds are still available. These funds can be used for numerous rebates that reduce the cost of your business operations or for projects to assist customers in utilizing propane appli- ances. PPGA and PPERF leadership will be meeting in mid-January to outline project rebates for 2024.
Additionally, please keep an eye out for the 2024 membership dues. The renewal cycle begins January 1 and members should receive dues renewal invoices shortly. Dues can be paid by mail or paid online at the association’s website. If you need assistance with your dues renewal, please contact Trina Miller.
The PPGA continues to make legislative and regulatory affairs the top priority of the association. In November, Ryan Buller and I at- tended legislative days in Salem. We met with 16 different lawmakers including key caucus leaders and members of key committees for the industry. Marci Ballard and I will be attending AWB’s Climb the Hill this coming January. These events and the relationships we are able to develop during them are critical to putting the propane industry in a positive position in environmental and energy policiy discussions. 2024 will be a critical year across multiple legislative and regulatory issues and your Association is positioning itself to defend our industry.
As always, I welcome members to reflect on the association and provide feedback on how we can strengthen the PPGA. The PPGA will only be strong if we work together to confront the many challenges we face. I am proud to serve as your executive director and I look forward to a great 2024. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at matt@kdafirm.com or 844-585-4940.
