In exports, the average price of beef registered 3.7% higher in US currency compared to the average price in 2016, reaching US$4.20/kg. Recovery oc- curred in line with the performance of Brazilian ex- ports and the targeting of markets, in both Asia and the Middle East. China and Hong Kong were the two biggest destinations, accounting for approx- imately 40% of Brazilian exports during the year, followed by Egypt, Russia and Iran.
