Rite Journey - Calling Ceremony
Following the Year 9 Departure Ceremony, Harvest hosted a sleepover for the students with supporting staff. The following morning, everyone woke early to travel to Black Point, arriving before sunrise.
The purpose of this trip was for the students to participate in The Rite Journey’s Calling Ceremony, a special event that helps guide them into young adulthood.
During the Calling Ceremony, the students were encouraged to let go of any childish ways or past
hurts they may have been holding onto. This symbolic gesture helps them move forward into a new chapter of their lives as young adults. The ceremony took place as the sun rose, creating a beautiful and unforgettable experience for all involved.
After the ceremony, the students enjoyed a delicious breakfast before participating in team-building challenges on the Port Vincent foreshore.
