An introduction

Keeping your business safe from the devastating effects of fire is vital - as is providing a safe environment in
which your staff, colleagues, family and visitors can live and work. Firewatch has built its reputation on quality
of services and client satisfaction a great many of Firewatch clients have been with us since the company was
founded in 1998 and now with over 2,500 clients throughout the South West region, South Wales and
increasingly in the Midlands. A diversified client base of large blue-chip corporations, NHS hospitals,
prestigious schools to small local businesses and church halls, Firewatch believes in every client receiving the
same high standard of service.

Firewatch’s extinguisher technicians and fire alarm engineers are located throughout the company’s
operating area to give comprehensive cover and a quick response. All are regularly audited, both internally
and externally, to ensure the highest standards of technical ability and customer service are maintained.
Contracted clients have the peace of mind of 24-hour cover – and you will always speak to a member of staff,
not an automated service.

History

Martin Smith CEO, with two other Directors, founded Firewatch in 1998, originally just servicing and supplying
portable fire equipment. Completing an MBO in 1999 and joined by Max Willey later that year, the company
has grown to 47 employees and developed the skills and expertise to offer many other fire protection services
and products, as well as becoming a leader in the supply and maintenance of fire extinguishers and fire
alarms. Firewatch still prides itself as a family owned business maintaining its long-held values of customer
service, value for money and quality of product. Firewatch was the first fire protection company in Great
Britain to gain approval for both of the BAFE schemes in the maintenance of fire extinguishers and fire alarms.
In 2013 it added the SP205 scheme for life safety fire risk assessment, demonstrating its desire to continue to
offer the very best of service to its client
