DEAR SATHYA Sai Baba, who is omnipresent and always with us; gracious host, Mr. Sohan Lal; respected guests and Sai brothers and sisters:1
I feel privileged to have the opportunity to speak here tonight and to take part in these lovely bhajans. As I sat immersed in their vibration of devotion, I thrilled to the vision that people all over the world are similarly singing to our wonderful Lord Sathya Sai.
In a world so enveloped in darkness, how exciting to experience these lovely bhajans transforming the darkness to light. This must be Baba’s most potent expression of love—rallying people all over the world to peace. The Sai love present in the bhajans and nurturing the steady growth of a large world-wide Sai family is the most hopeful sign of our times. I would like to share some of my most moving experiences with this Sai love.
Five years ago I came to Baba as an egotistical psychiatrist, imagining that I understood reality and skeptical of anything so intangible as a spiritual dimension. I thought that I knew who
