agency's AMS via two-way APIs when available. These functions deliver on the goal of helping agents provide a better experience for their customers while working smarter.
Reflecting on our initial journey into the independent agent channel, not only were we technologists in the insurtech space, but we were now also ambassadors for digital transformation, tasked with the mission of bridging these two distinctly different worlds.
With each agency meeting, it was evident that despite its long history of providing protection to individuals and businesses, the industry was only just incorporating mobile technology into their personal lives. I knew this lack of advancement put the insurance industry at risk of failing to meet the changing needs of consumers who now demand the same seamless digital experiences from their service providers that are embedded in their social media apps. Moreover, the right mobile app could create more active engagement for agency customers as the source of information, product, advice, and services—as long as it was seamless, easy, and simple for the policyholder.
We took it upon ourselves to initiate conversations and host interactive sessions that explained the benefits of leveraging technology in insurance. It was a daunting mission, one that required considerable patience and persistence, but the fulfillment derived from witnessing gradual shifts in perception made it a worthwhile effort.
When you're an entrepreneur in the insurance
vertical, there's no one holding your hand or guiding you along insurtech's many paths. It takes a lot to build connections and dedication to make everything come together. One must be able to coalesce fragmented elements from different sources and create something that works for their organization. There's no one else who can do it for you. It's up to you to be the driver of your own success if you want to thrive in this space.
Sure, there are lots of people and companies who can offer guidance along the way, but ultimately, it's all about being an entrepreneur and taking the initiative to make things happen. That's the only way you will succeed in this deep and wide insurance “arena.” My challenge was to prove that Insurance Agent App not only offered superior functionality but did so better and more reliably than its counterparts and heavyweights spending billions of dollars on advertising to promote their mobile offerings.
Functionality delivered with enterprise grade software has been our mission because, while every agency is independent, policyholders see “insurance” as a massive entity and expectations are high. Our goal is to make sure every agent can exceed those expectations.
As Insurance Agent App continues to evolve and adapt to the ever-changing insurtech landscape, I remain committed to pushing boundaries, breaking conventions, and making a difference. The journey has only just begun, and I am excited about what awaits us on this path of innovation and disruption.
