Dear Friends,
When I entered the feld of neurobiology years ago,
I immediately became enthralled with the incredible power and intricacy of the human brain.
In my years as a research scientist at the Weizmann Institute, this fascination has only grown. In my ongoing work
and collaborations with colleagues at home and abroad throughout the years, my respect and awe for the breadth and depth of the feld has only increased—and this has paralleled the increasing urgency for solutions for brain diseases and disorders.
As President of the Weizmann Institute of Science, and as
a passionate advocate and researcher of neuroscience, I invite you to learn more about the planned Institute for Brain and Neural Sciences and the state-of-the-art building that will encompass more than 40 groups across campus working on diverse aspects of the brain and nervous system.
