Taking the Mayor by surprise, a short, dapper man, dressed elegantly in an Armani suit, with a green, silk tie and emerald cufflinks, appeared suddenly from behind the tree. With his trim figure and slicked-back hair, the man formed quite a contrast to his big, bully-boy friend. Mobo flew to a branch just next to the seat, to study them more closely. They may look different - but they’re birds of a feather, he decided. The butcher-bird and the raven, both predators, both greedy!
He listened to their brief, unpleasant conversation and watched the small man slip a thick envelope into the fat man’s newspaper. The Mayor was not very trusting, he opened the envelope and flicked through its contents before slipping it into the inside pocket of his dull, saggy, blue suit. Both of them smiled insincerely and shook hands. The elegant man departed, leaving his friend, once more, sitting reading his paper. After another ten minutes, the Mayor left as well.
Mobo stayed just where he was; he had seen and heard all that was necessary. He monitored all the radio waves he could hear in the town ... Good transmission zone - Affirmative. Cell area crowded - Discretion assured. Low power - O.K. - Ground waves only. Carrier wave clear to wireless office. Bluetooth active - Affirmative - Yes!
