‘Yeah but I’m your girlfriend don’t you trust me?’ I was a little hurt and annoyed, ‘after all I’m not a villager per say’.
‘Darling I do trust you it’s just that my grandparents asked me to keep it from the villagers and especially from Penny. I’m just afraid it will come out when you speak with her after all she is your friend’, he said feeling hurt.
‘I just feel a bit hurt and let down that you don’t feel able to tell me something so important’, I insisted.
‘Please understand I will tell you everything very soon I know you find it hard to understand how my parents dealt about their situation, I do also. I think my father wanted to protect my mother somehow and I know you think he was trying to hide something like a wife or girlfriend, maybe you’re right.’ I knew this was still something he didn’t want to consider, ‘I want him to tell me face to face until then I’ll except that he loved her and her alone and that he always hoped they would be together some day’.
Taking him into my arms I kissed him passionately. He was getting very emotional and I didn’t want to spoil our lovely evening.
We watched a little television, chatted about everything, and anything but his parents, and after a couple of glasses of wine we headed up to the bedroom.
That Monday I started my first beginner’s class there were nine girls and two boys in all.
