work for her. Then she confided that she had bumped into Father Thomas on her way back.
‘He asked about our trip to Ireland and let me know he knew about Paul getting married which he didn’t look too impressed by. He even called me out for not being at church lately and tried to get me to agree to a blessing for Paul and Seki’, she giggled. ‘Nothing gets past father Thomas’, I laughed too.
Rex rang Wednesday to let me know he was free that evening as his shift finished at 5 and would it be ok if he came over. I agreed and promised to make dinner.
He arrived at 7 just as I finished dressing, a black pair of cotton trousers and a short- sleeved t-shirt top in red I wanted to dress comfortable, that’s how I felt around him now.
‘You look beautiful tonight darling’, he gave me a loving hug as I ushered him in out of the windy night.
‘Dinner is ready go get warm while I serve’, I pushed him towards the glowing fire. He wore a light wool polo neck sweater in white that brought out the glowing tan of his skin and a pair of chocolate brown cords that hugged his physique.
I felt so lucky to have the love of this handsome man.
‘I have the photo of my parents’ he said me as we sat to eat, ‘I’ll show you after dinner, this looks amazing’, he admired the platter in front of him.
After we had eaten, Rex having seconds, we sat over our coffee discussing the problems Paul and Seki were having hoping poor Penny would be ok.
Rex went to retrieve the photo from his coat pocket as we moved onto the sofa, he kept it in a leather wallet.
