‘It’s only across the ocean you are not going to the other side of the world --- the weather will be similar to here’, Rex informed her.
‘Do you think I should dress casually, when I meet Mr. Stapleton’?
‘I think it would be nice for you to look smart’, Penny advised.
‘Will you be Ok, after all you may not get good news, are you prepared for all kinds of news?‘, Penny asked him concerned.
I called into the bar before packing the car, to say hi to Paul and Seki. Penny was talking to a guest.
‘Hello Paul, how are you coping’?
‘Hi Amber! Yeah everything great’.
‘Is Seki getting the hang of pulling pints’? I asked.
‘No problem’, a voice called from the floor.
‘Oh, Seki I didn’t see you‘, I turned embarrassed.
‘Come and have a coffee with me, I’m due a coffee break’, Seki directed me to an empty table.
‘Are you looking forward to going home’? she asked.
‘I’m looking forward to seeing my friend marry, I do not miss Ireland’.
‘Did you leave under sad circumstances’? she asked as if reading my mind.
‘I have more family here, I grew up in an orphanage’, hoping that would satisfy her’, I quickly asked ‘Are you missing home, it must be very difficult in a place where the culture is so different, and so far from your family?
Suddenly Seki jumped up and said, ‘I better get back to work it is very busy’.
There was all of three customers at the bar.
Rex appeared looking flushed, ‘ready to roll, car loaded up’, he called to me.
