Direct deposit is the quickest way to receive your stimulus check, which could happen in about one
week after you have submitted your information.
If you have not filed your 2019 taxes and expect a return, you
can do so now and that way you can provide the IRS with your
direct deposit information.
Who will be the first to receive the help?
The first round of paper checks will be sent out this week. Low-income citizens will be the first to receive these; the agency will send out around five million dollars in paper checks each week. The IRS estimates for this process to last up to 20 weeks.
