GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS, INVESTIGATIONS AND INTERNATIONAL TRADE
Lawyers in this practice advise clients on complying with complex government procurement regulations, export laws, U.S. sanctions compliance, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and represent them in the event of litigation and government inquiry. We have represented clients in proceedings before the federal courts, including the Court of Federal Claims and federal district courts; administrative tribunals, including the GAO, ODRA and ASBCA; federal agencies such as the DOJ, SEC, DHS, DOD, EPA, DOE, GSA, DOT and CFIUS; state courts; and state, regional and local agencies. Our clients are in the aerospace and defense, information technology, electronics, healthcare, financial institutions, transportation, power and utilities industries.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT
Our Labor and Employment Practice Group advises clients regarding their domestic and international employment issues. We provide counseling to employers on issues such as hiring, discipline, termination, compensation, leaves of absence, among others. Our lawyers defend employers in litigation involving wage/hour issues, wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, employee raiding, trade secrets, and other matters. We handle high stakes “bet-the-company” class actions, including wage/hour and discrimination class actions as well as single plaintiff litigation and arbitrations. One of our partners literally wrote the book on wage/hour law that is used by clients and competitors alike.
Our Labor and Employment lawyers also have a strong traditional labor team consisting of experts in union avoidance, collective bargaining, strikes, picketing and boycotts, union arbitrations, prevailing wage compliance and unfair labor practice charges. Lastly, solid visa applications and a long history with the EB-5 investor program make us the go-to firm for immigration law. We are recognized for our success with government-related immigration compliance investigations.
