With ice hockey you do not get a lot of practice time, 50-60 minutes usually. We feel it is important to be prepared and ready to go the minute you step on the ice so your coach can get straight into practice. Same thing goes for games, get your body physically warmed up off ice so you can focus purely on skating, shooting, and passing. One other added benefit is the warm up will help you avoid the “Slow start”, especially if you had to drive an hour to face your opponent. These warm-ups will help all athletes get their joints and muscles loose, prepare them for quick multi-directional movements,
and help them get mentally focused for competition and practices.
If you have any question about these warm-ups or questions on how to become a better athlete do not hesitate to contact Scott Prunier at scott@gotopfitness. com or (603)661-8037.
