Back in 1978, I opened my first studio gallery in Laguna Beach, over 40 years later, Wyland Galleries remains one of the most popular galleries in the United States. In 1979, I was a featured artist at the renowned Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach. Most of my paintings at that time were original oils. I have always enjoyed painting live at the art festival and Wyland Gallery shows. Many of my collectors were fortunate enough to purchase those early originals.
Because of the demand for my original paintings and the limited supply, I am now once again accepting commissions in all original artwork categories. As an added bonus you can order your original commission for the same price as an existing original in the same size and medium. Wyland Galleries has traditionally increased the price of originals ten percent on the first day of every year. Only during the recent recession did I hold the prices on originals. My originals are available exclusively at Wyland Galleries and official Wyland dealers.
For those of you who collect original works of art, this
increases the value of your collection. It has been said that buying originals is cheaper when the artist is still alive. If you follow history, collecting art is not only a great investment, but also an investment in the joy of life.
Wyland collectors generally collect eight or nine pieces, including originals. For many, collecting my fine art is often their first time collecting any work of art. Please keep in mind, my efforts are not only about the art, but conservation. My ultimate goal is to leave an art and conservation legacy for my collectors. I encourage you to keep connected to the work the Wyland Foundation is doing in the world and know that every original painting, sculpture, and drawing I do reflects my effort to
