The writing in this magazine is just a sampling of what students wrote and shared
on Young Author’s Day. Writing has two domains: the first is how you write which
includes spelling and grammar, and the second is what you write which speaks
to the logical and creative thought processes. Not all of the pieces in the
following pages are perfect examples of grammar and spelling, but they all
demonstrate our students’ understanding of different genres and ability to retell,
revise, and invent stories. Enjoy!
