Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing with space-themed music
Our opening concert is a cosmic experience! Santa Cecilia Orchestra is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Lunar Landing with music from the legendary John Williams, including selections from his unforgettable scores for E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and Star Wars.
The performance will also include “Jupiter” from Holst’s The Planets; works from composers J.S. Bach, Mozart and Beethoven; and Dvorak’s stunning “Song to the Moon.”
We promise a performance that is out of this world!
