Gemini LED Lighting
For even greater convenience and spectacular effects, Gemini now offers GemLite Letters pre-populated with LED modules. Due to the various letter sizes, variations in stroke widths and LED brightness, and differences in surface area of letters and logos, you must contact Gemini for a quote on all lit products pre-populated with LED modules.
Face-light your letters with Gemini LEDs
Through the use of low-voltage LEDs, Gemini’s GemLite Letters can be easily populated to provide a rich face-lit effect. Order a Gemini LED package and you will receive the following.
• Formed sign bodies in pigmented white for optimal reflectivity
• UL Listed sign section labels for all sign bodies
• Formed, trimmed or Edge-Glo faces per your specifications
• Installation of LEDs to inside of sign bodies (choose from red, white, warm white, green or blue)
• Installation of module support blocks to ensure LED module bond to sign body
• Balancing and testing of LED lights to assure even face-lighting of letters
• Wire connections prepared for easy attachment to supply lines with 12” lead wires (custom lengths available)
• All exposed terminal connections capped
• Power supply wire holes drilled into sign body (location per your specifications) • Face attachment holes drilled for all letters, plus painted fastening screws
• UL required weep holes notched in all sign bodies
• UL Listed transformers to power complete set
• Wiring instruction guidelines for a licensed electrician
• Manufacturer’s 4-year warranty on LEDs and power supply

INSTALLING YOUR OWN LEDS
If you choose to install LEDs yourself in our GemLite Letters, we
recommend the following:
• Order GemLite Channel Letters to meet UL requirements.
• Always match your face colors with LED colors. See page 154 for our recommended color combinations.
• Use only low-voltage, high-quality, low-profile LED systems in GemLite letters.
Choosing LEDs
• Investigate the manufacturer to establish their stability in the market. Most legitimate manufacturers have an established warranty period and sell their systems through sign supply distributors.
• Although LED systems designed for non-signage applications may be cheaper, they create problems at installation. For the greatest flexibility, consistency, and longevity, select a system designed with signs in mind.
When ordering an LED package, your letters will be ready for a licensed electrical contractor to complete the final wiring. You will need to obtain a few additional installation supplies not provided by Gemini:
• Electrical wire and wire connectors to connect letters together.
• Raceway (if required) and hardware for mounting letters to raceway. • Connections for 110 / 220 / 277 volt side of the transformer.
