Cor-Ten®
A weather resistant steel created by alloying copper, chromium and nickel. The material forms its own protective layer when exposed to atmospheric elements. Essentially, the top layer corrodes which then protects the steel beneath it. The natural finish does not normally require any form of maintenance such as painting, which makes the material a highly cost effective alternative to other structural steels.

The standard “18/8” stainless; it is the most versatile and most widely used stainless steel.
For areas within 50 miles of
the coast, Gemini recommends Alloy 316, passivated stainless or anodized aluminum. This conforms to recommendations by numerous metal industry panels. Use of 304 in coastal areas may experience premature failure.
Alloy 316
The standard molybdenum-bearing grade, second in importance to C304 amongst the austenitic stainless steels. The molybdenum gives 316 better overall corrosion resistant properties than C304, particularly higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments.
(Requires Stud Weld)
Polishing
Requires a minimum of 3" height, .38” stroke at 1/8" depth (stud weld required). Restrictions may apply on letters over 24". Stainless steel letters and logos are produced without a clear polyurethane coating.
Optional Clear Coat (+10%)
To further lengthen the lifespan of stainless steel, a protective clear coat can be added for an additional 10%.

• Drill patterns are $4.50/letter
• Cut file available – $20
• Stencil pattern
for letters under 6” – $50 for up to max. 100 letters
• Split stencil - $60 for up to 50 letters of any size
• All cut stainless steel letters & logos will be passivated.
If letters are going to be used indoor you can request without passivation (less 10%)
• Lower case letters, where available, are 75% of upper case price
• All punctuation is 33% of upper case price
• Premium finishes - see page 36
NOTE: All pricing includes stud weld. Available with stud bosses or 1” welded studs. If choosing any finish where stud weld is not required, plain mount is less 30%.
