Multi-agency gang operation nets more than 100 arrests

On Nov. 20, Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims an- nounced results of a nearly year-long ongoing investiga- tion primarily focused on the criminal street gang known as the Fresnecks and the Aryan Brotherhood, a prison gang.

• A male subject was contacted in the 1800 block of Academy Av- enue regarding a prior disturbance. He was ar- rested for a previous as- sault with a glass bottle and was also charged for resisting arrest.
• A subject was arrested in the 2700 block of Jen- sen Avenue for shoplift- ing.
• An unoccupied stolen vehicle was recovered along the canal bank in the 1000 block of Muscat Avenue.
• A subject in the 1900 block of Rawson Avenue
reported a firearm was stolen from his unlocked vehicle.
• During a traffic stop in the area of Hwy 180 and Academy Avenue, a male subject was found to be in possession of il- legal narcotics. He was arrested and transported to Fresno County Jail.
• A vehicle was reported stolen in the 600 block of J Street.
• Miscellaneous tools were reported stolen from a work truck in the 1300 block of Claremont Avenue.
Saturday, November 21
There were 102 calls for service and 4 traffic citations were issued.
• Petty theft of a steplad- der from a truck was re- ported in the 1300 block of 7th Street.
• An unknown suspect reportedly fired a hand- gun into a residence in the 1300 block of An- nadale Avenue. No in- juries were reported and an investigation is ongoing.
• A reported stolen ve- hicle from the previous night was recovered in the 600 block of J Street by the victim. The vic- tim was reportedly in- toxicated the prior night and forgot he loaned the car to a friend.
• A male subject was contacted in the 2700 block of Jensen Avenue and was arrested for shoplifting.
• A male subject was arrested after a traf- fic stop in the area of Sanger and North av- enues revealed he was driving while under the influence. He was later transported to Fresno County Jail.
