Boxes of toys and treats for every dog at Christmas, were dropped off at the shelter by Janis Barbosa.
Buster Brown, left, is a 1-2 year old happy, energetic pitbull mix who likes cookies, playing, walking and hug- ging.
Just before his photo was taken Buster had gone on a long walk with animal control volunteer Gianna Shaefer.
Kim Reed who is in charge of the volunteer pro- gram gave Buster a cookie to stand still and pose for the photo.
Most of the dogs we wrote about last week, have been adopted, fostered or picked up by a rescue group.
Angel, the sweetheart pitbull lady we showed you last week is being fostered by Janis Barbosa who made a Christmas box of toys and treats for every dog at the shelter.
Fresno Bully Rescue has donated food, toys and blan- kets and its volunteers have been working with Jojo, who is learning to walk on a leash.
There are a few dogs be- sides Buster and Jojo waiting to be your new best friend in 2018.
• Misty is a playful, high energy young lady lab mix about 2 years old who loves to walk and go for car rides.
• Blaze is a young pitbull
mix who loves to play and gets along well with every- one.
• Doc is a sweet, friendly, gentle and mature pitbull mix who has been in the shelter for awhile and would really like to be your new best friend. He's maybe 6-7 years old, weighs about 50 pounds and loves to walk.
• Red Fox was found run- ning loose near a senior care facility on 9th Street. He's probably a setter mix, about

It might rain off and on for a few days after that.
The rain will leave enough moisture to trigger the tule fog that makes night and morning driving so difficult.
Day and night tempera- tures will be a little warmer than usual with daytime highs in the low to mid 60s and nighttime lows in the mid 30s
2 years old. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys walking on a leash.
Any of these sweet dogs would make a wonderful Christmas gift.
Call Sanger animal control officer Mario Irazoqui at (559) 618-9071 to make an appointment to meet Buster, Misty, Doc, Jojo, Red Fox or any of the other dogs hop- ing for a forever home for Christmas.

To get to the shelter take North Avenue east, toward the mountains, cross New- mark Avenue and follow the signs.
Adoption requires spay- ing/neutering and bringing the rabies shot up to date. The only charge is to the veterinarian, Gregory Saiki DVM.
