Obituaries
Myles Chute
Myles Dennis Chute died March 20 in Du- arte, Calif. He was 70.
Mr. Chute, a long- time Dinuba resident, served 40 years as a firefighter and was the former Fire Chief in Di- nuba.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann Chute of Dinuba, one son and one daughter.
Remembrances may be made to the Dinuba Firefighters Associa- tion, 420 E. Tylare Ave, Dinuba CA 93618.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Condolences may be posted at dop- kinschapel.com.
Esther Rodrigues
Olivarez
Esther Rodriguez Olivarez of Sanger died March 27 in Clovis. She was 79.
Mrs. Olivarez worked as a caregiver.
She is survived by her husband Frank N. Olivarez, one son, one daughter, six grand- children and 11 great- grandchildren.

Dopkins Dinuba Funer- al Chapel. A graveside service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, April 10, at Sanger Cemetery.

Maria Sanchez
Maria Elena San- chez of Cutler died March 25 in Dinuba. She was 84.
Mrs. Sanchez is sur- vived by her husband Teofilo Sanchez, one son and two daughters.
Private services were scheduled.

Amanda Serna
Amanda Serna of Clovis died March 20. She was 58.
Ms. Serna worked as a certified physician as- sistant.
She is survived by her parents Abelardo and Rebecca Serna, two daughters and four grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

TCSO warns of scam involving Social Security

The Tulare Coun- ty Sheriff’s Office is warning the public of a scam involving the Social Security Admin- istration.
The office has re- ceived recent reports of people receiving calls from someone who identifies himself as either John Luck or Patrick Kelly. The caller tells the victim that they are with the Social Security Admin- istration and there is a warrant out for their arrest unless they pay a certain amount of money.

Reedley College food pantry receives $5K gift from Assemblymember Arambula

The student food pantry at Reedley Col- lege has received a gift of $5,000 from 31st Dis- trict Assemblymember Joaquin Arambula, D- Fresno to help cover supplies to the dormito- ry and Herdsman house residents currently on campus during the CO- VID-19 crisis.
The $5,000 is part of $50,000 from Aram-
bula's campaign funds being donated to com- munity and educational organizations in the 31st district that are provid- ing basic needs and services to individuals and families impacted by the crisis. Reedley College has been shut down for classes since March 16, and as of March 19 had halted all types of live instruction — including labs — as of March 19.
Reedley College was one of nine orga- nizations that were to receive contribu- tions from Arambula. The Central California Food Bank is receiving $10,000 while the col- lege is one of eight oth- er organizations getting a $5,000 donation. Those included the Fresno City College Ram Pantry and Fresno State Student Cupboard, all to help

Buckley said that the college is unable to accept live food donations because of the COVID-19 risk, but people wishing to donate financially can click on to a link to the food pantry page on the college's website to make
a donation.
In a news release,
Arambula also chal- lenged other elected officials and the public to contribute to any or- ganizations or agencies that are providing food or shelter and other es- sential services. He also called on people to vol- unteer to help the elder- ly or disabled neighbors isolated in their homes.
