Vandals break light at
Orosi Barber Shop
Sentinel staff report
“We want to live in a safe place,” said Erika Helo Mendoza of Orosi Barber Shop, after arriving Sunday morning to find the barber’s light outside her business smashed in pieces.
She stated it was first time in over decade that her business has been vandalized. Twelve years ago, she said several stores in the 12000 block of 416 were vandalized after someone broke several windows up the block.
The barber shop there, according to Mendoza, has been there for over 100 years. The light is almost as old as the building, anywhere from 70 to 80 years old.
A report was filed with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department on Sunday morning and detectives are currently investigating the crime. Anyone with information can call or text
