Staff Report
Police are searching for a man who robbed a woman at gunpoint in downtown Reed- ley on May 18.
The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of 13th Street near the intersection of G Street, ac- cording to Reedley police Sgt. Det. John Cates. The suspect, armed with a firearm, took an undetermined amount of money from the woman.
The victim earlier had cashed a check at a downtown business and was walking when confronted by the sus- pect, Cates said. The suspect is described as a man in his 30s, dressed in a white shirt
and basketball shorts. He has a full beard and curly hair.
Cates said the suspect was last spotted walking southeast down an alley off 13th Street.
Anyone who may have information on the suspect is asked to call Reedley police at 637-4250 (main line) or on the

Manning Ave. Both businesses held ribbon cuttings in conjunction with the Greater Reedley Chamber of Commerce, and the events featured food and music. Aleman provides home loans and has an emphasis on assisting first-time homeowners. City Market provides grocery services, including meat, produce and bakery items.
