 Band Rally March at RHS
The Reedley High School Band Boosters put on a Band Rally March by the "Big Green Marching Machine" the day of the- season opening football game with Hanford West High on Aug. 20. Band members marched through the campus to- ward Sal Gonzalez Field, and eventually went through their game-day walk through the practice (top photo). The band put on an entertaining performance in its first appearance of the school year.

Big weekend for Reedley cyclist
Sanger High freshman tailgate
ABOVE PHOTOS: Sanger High School freshman Class of 2025 students participated in the school's Freshman Tailgate event the day of the season-opening football game on campus on Aug. 20. The school's newest and youngest Apaches participated in games, enjoyed free food and collected some cool school swag, according to school officials. The school's Link Crew students and freshman guidance team also helped coordinate activi- ties.

Reedley High School senior Ryan Kaehler (center) had a big weekend at the Califor- nia State Championships Road Race over the weekend in the San Ardo mountains. He placed second on Aug. 21 at that event and then took first place on Aug. 22 at the On- tario Grand Prix Majestic Criterium, where he is pictured. After graduation, 17-year-old Ryan plans to join the Olympic Development Program at US Cycling in Boulder, Colo.

Sanger High also had to endure a sudden cancellation when Fresno High pulled out of the Friday, Aug. 27, game in Sanger. But on short no- tice, the Apaches were able to secure a game with Roosevelt after the Rough Riders also had their Aug. 27 game against Porterville High canceled.
The Sanger-Roosevelt game will have a scheduled 7:30 p.m. start in Flores Stadium.
Dinuba High lost its Aug. 20 sea- son opener by a 33-30 score in Clovis against Clovis East High. The Em- perors have another road game this week against Tulare Western before its home opener on Friday, Sept. 3, against new school Matilda Torres High from Madera.
