The unit, featuring Sanger High players Isaiah Becerril, Gabriel Olmos and Guillermo Cervantes along with Immanuel High's Michael Kawagoe, kept the City stars off the scoreboard with a dominating performance. Soccer meets
July 1 to
discuss future
MVT Staff Report
Sanger Youth Soccer League offi- cials meet this week to discuss the fu- ture of the league.
The open meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 1, at Greenwood Park, and will update the public on the status of SYSL. At present, the league is in need of a full board as current board members are planning to step away.
The league has two paid positions, a registrar and referee coordinator. All other positions are volunteer. In order to be part a California Youth Soccer Association District 7 (Fresno area) league, there must be a registered president, vice president and registrar.
In a post on the league's Facebook page, officials said that if the positions were not filled the league will be dis- solved. This would include the Little Kicker program.
School commissioners are asked to attend the meeting, and all soccer fans are invited.
