Mary and Jane are the Pets of the Week at the Sanger Ani- mal Control Shelter.
They are bonded female German Shepherd mixes, about 4-5 years old.
"They're probably sisters," said animal control volunteer Kim Reed.
"Either one would be lost without the other. They are such good, gentle and laid back ladies. They get along well with
other dogs and they love kids. They're probably used to stay- ing in the house and maybe going for short walks."
Tank, JoJo and Roscoe are also available for adoption.
You can call Sanger animal control officer Mario Irazoqui at (559) 618-9071 to make an appointment to meet Mary and Jane, Tank, JoJo and Roscoe and all the other dogs living at the shelter.
Adoption only requires spaying/neutering and bringing the rabies shot up to date. The only charge is to the veterinarian, Gregory Saiki DVM.

Tammie Shepley received a Life Saving Award and a standing ovation at the June 21 city council meeting.
She deserved both for
her actions on May 1 when she was shopping at the 99 Cent store at Jensen and Bethel avenues. That's when she saw another shopper, Adrienne Bell, go into sudden cardiac arrest.
Shepley immediately rushed to help as Bell's son held his mother and then slowly lowered her to the floor.
Bell was not breathing and she had no pulse and no heartbeat.
Shepley performed life saving CPR until fire depart- ment paramedics arrived and transported Bell to Clovis
Community Hospital.
She was released five days
later.
"We take time today to
acknowledge Ms. Shepley's selfless act and we wish
Ms. Bell a continued speedy recovery," said mayor Frank Gonzalez as he prepared to present Shepley with the award.
"Ms. Tammie Shepley, on behalf of the Sanger City Council and the entire Sanger community, we recognize and honor you for the perfor- mance of an act of service
of exceptional character that resulted in saving the life of another."
