The portion of the proposed budget which is designated “Contributions to Other Agencies (CCTEA)” is the amount in support of the budget of the Central California Tristeza Eradication Agency (operating the Citrus Pest Detection Program), which the Central Valley Pest Control District has elected to assume July 1, 2020.
The intent of the District is to raise the amount required to meet the pro- posed budget by levying a special assessment upon the assessed value of the citrus trees within the above named District in accordance with the provisions of the Citrus Pest District Control Act (Stats. 1939, CH 89) as amended. A hearing upon said budget will be held by the Board of Direc- tors on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., via Teleconference (call: 888-808-6929; Access Code: 1269464). Attendance in person is possible in the conference room of the CCTEA at 22847 Rd 140, in the town of Tulare, State of California, and at said date, time, and place, any and all person(s) interested may appear and object to the adoption of the budget or any item therein. At any time not later than the hour set for hearing ob- jections to the proposed budget, any owner of citrus acreage in the district may make written protest against the budget or any item in it.

CITY OF ORANGE COVE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Orange Cove will conduct a Public Hearing on June 10, 2020 at 6:30 pm in the City Council Chambers located at 633 Sixth Street, Orange Cove. At the time of this publication, it is anticipated that this Council meeting and public hearing will be held via teleconference due to COVID-19 social distancing requirements.
The purpose of this hearing is to review and approve the accomplish- ments that were produced from the City’s 16-CDBG-11143 Agreement with the State of California and to solicit citizen input regarding the out- come and accomplishments of the funding received under this contract. The City was awarded $225,000 to carry out the following: Code Enforce- ment Program.
Citizens will be given the opportunity to make their comments known and questions answered related to the grant listed above. If you are unable
