Dinuba would go to WYL, Reedley joins CSL teams
By Jon Earnest
Mid Valley Times
The Central Sec- tion California Inter- scholastic Federation was scheduled to vote on April 13 regard- ing realignment of the section's athletic leagues beginning in the 2022-2023 season.
Results of the vote weren't available by The Times' deadline, but if they were ap- proved as presented the vote means that Dinuba High School would be shifted to the six-school West Yosemite League from its longtime Central Sequoia League home. The Emperors would be paired with Han- ford High and Lem- oore High along with Tulare high schools Tulare, Tulare West- ern and Mission Oak.
The proposed re- alignment also moves Reedley High from the North Yosemite League to the new 10-member Tri County Athletic Conference. The Pirates would join former CSL schools Central Valley Chris- tian, Exeter, Hanford West, Immanuel, Kingsburg and Selma along with Kerman, Sierra Pacific and Washington Union.
Sanger High would remain in an expanded County Metro Athletic Conference/NYL. The Apaches join CMAC members Bullard, Ed- ison, Madera, Madera South and San Joa- quin Memorial along with five NYL schools and new school Justin Garza High.
The Times will re- port more on the vote in the April 29 issue.
