Weather for Apache Country
Day and night temperatures will be dropping slightly over the next couple of weeks. The nights can be cool enough to trigger the drone of the nearby wind machines.
We could have several days of showers and light rain, beginning next Wednesday.
It's now fog season in the Valley, so it's likely tule fog will follow close behind those first few showers.

This week's featured pets of the week are Reba, Queenie and Bear.
November is National Adopt a Senior Dog Month and Sanger Animal Shelter volunteer Kim Reed wants
to put the spotlight again on Bear. "He is such a sweet, sweet boy. He's about 8 years old and gets along with ev- eryone. He loves walking and treats," said Kim.
Reba and Queenie are pretty pitbull ladies.
Reba is about 8 months old and has lots of energy. She loves humans and gives great hugs and kisses.
Queenie is about 2 years old and likes to run and play and gets along well with everyone.
The next adoption event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 17, this Saturday, at the Tractor Supply Co. on Herndon Avenue, just north of Fowler Avenue in Clovis.
Call animal control officer Mario Irazoqui at (559) 618- 9071 or message the Sanger Animal Shelter Facebook page and leave your email address to find out more about the adoption process which will involve home checks.
The cost for each adoption will vary.
Let Mario know if you're interested in providing a temporary foster home for any of the shelter dogs or if you are able to donate
a warm blanket or doggy sweater - cold weather is on the way.
"We could also use me- dium size collars and good leashes," said Kim.
The reporter can be con- tacted by email at sang- erherald@gmail.com or by phone at the Herald at (559) 875-2511.
