MVT Staff Report
Reedley police are searching for a vehicle that resembles one of the department's police cruisers and was acting suspicious while travel- ing through the community over the weekend.
On April 12, the department received infor- mation about the vehicle, described as a black Ford Explorer SUV with a white roof that was spotted on Frankwood Avenue south of the city. The vehicle had a Harley Davidson sticker on the back side that at first glance resembles "Highway Patrol."
Reedley police officers attempted to con- tact the vehicle, but the cruiser sped away at more than 100 miles per hour. The vehicle was last seen heading south on Frankwood Avenue toward Tulare County, where the roadway be- comes Road 56.
Anyone who may have information regard- ing the vehicle is asked to contact the Reedley Police Department at (559) 637-4250 and ask for Detective Sgt. Bryan Pelayo. You also can reference case #20-1114.

Dinuba man hurt trying to prevent vehicle theft
MVT Staff Report
The Dinuba Police Department say a man was dragged and injured while trying to stop a ve- hicle theft on April 1.
Just before 6:30 a.m., Dinuba officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Charles Street regarding a ve- hicle theft that just oc- curred. Officers were advised that the victim
also was injured during the theft.
The man had left his vehicle running in the driveway and unattend- ed, according to a press release. The victim came out of his residence to find an unknown subject in the cab of his vehicle and attempted to remove the subject from the in- terior and a struggle en- sued.
The suspect then
drove in reverse as the victim held onto to the suspect and the ve- hicle. The suspect then drove the vehicle along Charles, striking several parked vehicles while smashing the victim in between the door and cab of his own vehicle.
The suspect then made a u-turn at the end of the street and proceeded back down the street, still dragging
the victim. The suspect rammed a parked ve- hicle in a driveway, re- versed and continued down Charles at a high rate of speed. The vic- tim let go and fell to the street, receiving numer- ous injuries from the incident and has since been released from the hospital.
The California High- way Patrol later discov- ered the vehicle unoccu- pied.
The suspect is de- scribed as a Hispanic male adult in his early 20s, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. Dinuba po- lice continue to follow up on potential leads.
The department is urging anyone with any information to call (559) 591- 5911. You also can call (559) 591-8471 and remain anonymous.
