ent, but apparently history is repeating itself."
Reedley broke through for the lone goal against Fowler (11-2) in the 14th minute when sophomore midfielder Aman- da Lopez fed junior forward Gordillo, who fired a low shot past the Redcats' goalkeeper. The Pirates kept play in the
midfield area with an occa- sional push in the Fowler end the rest of the half.
In the final 40 minutes, the visitors cranked up the offensive pressure and had a couple of near misses to get the tying goal. Backup keep- er Ivy Doung was aggressive hunting down loose balls and helped preserve the lead, but Fowler continued to put pres- sure on the rest of the way
before coming up short. Reedley is making up two matches in the Lemoore tour- nament on Friday and Satur- day, Jan. 4 and 5. The Pirates take on Mission Oak at 11:20 a.m. and then faces Golden West of Visalia in a 2 p.m. con-

a berth on the all-tournament team. Hatch scored 10 points in the opening quarter against Woodlake while Laura Schlet- weitz had eight points as IHS grabbed a 20-4 lead after one quarter and never looked back.
Alegria Pena paced Im- manuel against Tulare West- ern with 12 points while Hatch and Schletewitz had eight each. Allison Dias scored nine points in support of Hatch against El Diamante.
Coach James Stevens said the squad did a good job bounc- ing back from the early losses despite playing the entire tour- ney without senior forward Amanda Scheidt, who suffered a concussion in the final game of the Dinuba-Orosi tourna- ment. Her availability for the Friday, Jan. 4, CSL game at Di- nuba High is uncertain.
Immanuel's first home game in almost a month will be Thursday, Jan. 10, in a 7:30 p.m. tipoffs against Selma High. The Eagles also have home CSL games with Cen- tral Valley Christian (Jan. 16), Exeter (Jan. 22), Dinuba (Jan. 24) and Hanford West (Feb. 1).
Immanuel High's Allison Dias, right, set a hard screen on Tulare Union defender Madisyn Melson (3) to free the Eagles' Hunter Krieter for a dribble drive to the middle on Dec . 27.
