Tyler Swarts, 13,
of Clovis, recently started a club, Paws
4 Life, and one of his first projects was
to help dogs at the Sanger Animal Shelter.
Tyler dropped off several plush dog beds, all size and shapes, and blankets, travel cages, collars and treats.
"Those are things we really need at the shelter," said volunteer Kim Reed.
Tyler's club is sponsored by SendOut- Cards, SunSational Tans, Midnight Distribut- ing and Dumont Printing.

It's National Adopt a Se- nior Dog Month and Sanger Animal Shelter volunteer Kim Reed want to put the spotlight on Bear.
"Bear is such a sweet
boy. He's about 8 years, gets along with everyone. He pre- fers to be with people. But, he was in play group and he did well! He loves walking and treats," said Kim.
Jet, a new shelter resident, is a German shepherd boy, about 3 years old. "He has lots of energy and loves to run and play," said Kim.
The next adoption event will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 17 at the Tractor Sup- ply Co. on Herndon Avenue, just north of Fowler Avenue in Clovis.
Call animal control officer Mario Irazoqui at (559) 618- 9071 or message the Sanger Animal Shelter Facebook page and leave your email address to find out more about the adoption process which will involve home checks.
The cost for each adoption will vary.
Let Mario know if you're interested in providing a temporary foster home for any of the shelter dogs or if you are able to donate
a warm blanket or doggy sweater - cold weather is on the way.
"We could also medium size collars and good leash- es," said Kim.

Weather for Apache Country
The day and night temperatures will remain consistently in the low 70s and 40s until late next week when we can ex- pect a cooling trend.
There's no rain in the forecast until around Nov. 20 when we might have a few scattered showers.
It's now fog season in the Valley, so it's likely tule fog will follow close behind the first few showers.
