Law enforcement honors for Sanger High graduates
Bridget Gonzalez, Fresno County Sheriff's Office Dispatcher of the Year
2007 Sanger High graduate Bridget Gonza- lez began her career with the sheriff's office in 2011.
She quickly moved up the ranks. She plays an active role in building morale amongst her peers.
In 2016 Bridget was promoted to communi- cations specialist where she assists in the train- ing of new dispatchers. However, her commit- ment to the communications training program began long before her promotion. Two years before her promotion she helped several peers through the training program and has played a part in shaping and maintaining the training manual.
Bridget is a member of the department's recruitment team and helps with the 9-1-1 for
Lisa Farmer
A graveside service for Mrs. Lisa Faye Farmer of Kings- burg will be held at 11 a.m. on April 13 at Sanger Cemetery.
Mrs. Farmer, 56, died April 6, 2018. She was a phlebotomist for the Community Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by sisters Tamara Plemons of Kingsburg,

Wendy Curtis-Story
Wendy Curtis-Story was born in Fresno, California on February 13, 1966 to her parents Loren and Betty Curtis.
She left this earth suddenly on Wednesday, April 4, 2018.
Wendy was a long time Sanger resident and a 1984 Sanger High School graduate.
Wendy loved her boys Curtis and Dylan, her family, the out- doors and everything about life.
She loved camping, fishing, rid- ing horses and just being outside.
Nobody was a stranger to her and
her smile was something you could not forget.
Wendy had a loving spirit and her boys were her heart.
Wendy will forever be remembered by her family, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Wendy is survived by her parents, Loren and Betty Cur- tis; her two sons Curtis and Dylan Story; a brother Corey Curtis; a sister Misty Curtis-Haron; her two nephews Loren Curtis and Logan Haron and 4 nieces, Megan Escoto, Ber- gan Lashlee, Hailey Haron and Madison Haron.
A service will be held at 10:00 am on April 13th, 2018 at the Calvary Fellowship Church, 737 Church Ave., Sanger, CA 93657.
Belinda "Boggie" Anaya, Fresno Council District 4 Woman of the Year
Detective Belinda Anaya was among the the 2018 Fresno Women of the Year, who were honored by the Fresno City Council in a ceremony commemorating Women’s History Month. Each woman was nominated by the councilmember from her district.
Anaya joined Fresno PD in 2002 and quick- ly distinguished herself on the Northeast District Crime Suppression Team, Bulldog Tactical Team and Violent Crime Suppression Team. Since then Anaya has added to her re- sume, impressing peers, the legal community, social service providers and above all the victims of human trafficking she has rescued from the sex trade.
Belinda was born in Sanger into a large family of four sisters and three brothers. She

She is survived by son Darwin A. Rhodes and wife Audrey of Fresno; sisters Scotti Walker of Sanger and Diane Baker; sister-in-law Sue Abel of Dunlap; and grandsons Dylan Sani, Rick Rhodes, Joshua Rhodes and Brendon Rhodes, all of Fresno.
