Senior Jordan Rodriguez began the Eagles' comeback from the seven-point hole. A driving layup got things started, then with 6:36 remain- ing he drained a 3-pointer to make it 44-42. With just over five minutes to play, fellow se- nior Kaleb Daglish scored in- side to tie the game at 44. Both finished with 10 points in their final games for the Eagles. The sweep placed the Tigers in a tie with College of the Sequoias for the conference lead as the Giants swept West Hills Coalinga.
Competition will get tougher this week as the Tigers face Fresno City (2-1, 13-6) in a three-game series. Ac- tion started March 12 in Fresno before a 2 p.m. Thursday, March 14, contest in Reedley and a 1 p.m. game in Fresno on Saturday, March 16. After facing the Rams, Reedley travels to Taft College on Tuesday, March 19, at 1 p.m.

Sunbirds wrap up Hawaii road swing with doubleheader split
Fresno Pacific wrapped up a road trip to Hawaii to open PacWest Confer- ence play on March 9, splitting a pair of games with Hawaii Hilo.
The Sunbirds (6-11, 3-5 PacWest) lost the opener by a 5-4 score but bounced back for an 8-2 victory in the nightcap.
Reedley College product Adam Ale- man went 3-for-4 with two runs scored in the Sunbirds' victory. The senior utility player is batting .318 on the season with four runs scored and six runs batted in.
Reedley High grad Michael Warkentin went 1-for-1 in each game, and was 3-for-3 with a walk in a 3-1 loss to Hawaii Hilo on Marchg 7. The sopho- more redshirt is batting .323 with three runs scored and four RBI.
Immanuel High grad Carson Schel- lenberg took the pitching loss in Game 1, allowing two runs. For the season, he's 0-1 with a 3.00 earned run aver- age including 10 strikeouts and eight

Rodgers finished with a team-high 14 points and three assists while sophomore Am- ren Purewal came off the bench to hit a pair of threes in the first half on his way to six points. Despite physical play, just 22 total fouls were called (11 on each team) resulting in just 16 total free throws. The Eagles didn't help their cause, hitting just two of six foul shots.

SOFTBALL
RC currently in second place tie
As usual, the Central Valley Confer- ence softball title race is going to be a close one.
After bad weather forced changes in the schedule, Porterville leads the eight-team conference with a 1-0 re- cord. Reedley is one of four teams tied for second place at 2-1.
In the rain on March 5, Reedley rolled to 10-0 and 19-0 victories at home over West Hills Coalinga. But two days later, the Lady Tigers fell to the College of the Sequoias Giants 3-1 in Visalia.
Non conference games in Aptos on March 9 against Cabrillo and Shasta were postponed due to rain. Tiger Ath- letic Director David Santesteban said that the two games will be rescheduled.
A day before the loss to COS, a 15-3 Reedley squad moved up a spot to sixth in the California Community College Athletic Association state rankings. They remained third in the Northern California rankings.
Emily Grimbeby pitched a no-hitter in the first game win over West Hills but was the losing pitcher at COS. In the no-hitter, the right handler walked two and struck out six.
Offensively, Sandra Vallejo drove in four runs which included a three- run double in a six-run second inning. Mariah Hernandez scored three runs while Hunter Young contributed a pair of singles.
Young hurled a four-hit shutout in the nightcap, striking out four in the five- inning contest. Reedley finished with 15 hits and took advantage of nine Falcon errors. Young helped her own cause by driving in three runs with a pair of sin- gles and scoring three times. Samantha
Lizaola, Aunika Castellanos, Amanda Bel- tran, Bobbie Falcon, Sophia Del Bosque and Vallejo joined Young with two hits each. COS scored all three of their runs in the third inning, using a bunt single, a hit batter and a pair of Tiger errors.
Reedley is back on the road this week, starting with a March 12 double- header at Taft College before a 1 p.m. single game on Thursday, March 14 at first place Porterville. The Lady Tigers are scheduled to return home on Tues- day, March 19, for a 1 pm doubleheader with Cerro Coso College.
MEN'S GOLF Tigers extend Big 8 Conference South lead
Reedley College extended its lead in the Big 8 Conference South men’s golf race with another tournament win in Fresno on March 4.
The Tigers finished the round at the Sunnyside Country Club with a team score of 376, defeating Fresno City College by 13 shots, San Jose City Col- lege by 16 shots, Monterey Peninsula College by 23 strokes, and Taft College by 36 shots.
Reedley finished with 11 birdies in the round, increasing their lead to eight points through the first three tourna- ments.
Leading the way for the Tigers and the overall tournament medalist on the day was Tommy O’Rourke, who posted a very solid round of two over par 74. Bailey Flickinger and Xavier Coreno both carded well executed rounds of three over par 75. Dylan Otto and Mor- gan Cooper finished the scoring for the Tigers by posting good rounds of 76.
The win moved the Tigers to 12-0 overall and 12-0 in the Big 8 Conference. Reedley now has four of the top six play- ers in the division individual standings.
Results of a March 11 Conference tournament, held at the Tigers’ home course of the Kings River Golf and Country Club in Kingsburg, were not available at press time.

Emma Mulligan had a home run for Reedley in Fri- day action while Aryanna Gonzalez doubled in Mulligan for a decisive run in the win over Mission Oak. Before the tournament, the Pirates rolled to a 14-0 victory at Orange Cove High.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL RHS fall to 1-4 with home loss
Reedley High dropped a four-set decision to visiting Buhach Colony on March 4 at RHS gym. That followed the Pirates' first victory of the season, a 23-25, 25-14, 15-11 decision over PIoneers Valley on March 1 at the two-day Bat- tle of the Coast Tournament in San Luis Obispo.
Reedley (1-4) hosted Clo- vis West High in a non-league match on March 12 at RHS gym. Results of the match were unavailable at press time.
