Sanger residents who were wondering why you saw a line of police cars driving Santa Claus around town onj Dec. 18, it was be- cause he was helping offi- cers and volunteers deliver gifts for the department's annual Christmas gift give- away.
Santa, the Sanger Police Officers Association and Sanger PD along with the assistance of many other elves were able to provide
Christmas gifts and food for 10 families. The toy give- away has been a longtime tradition with the depart- ment.
"We truly enjoy being able to give back to our community," the department said on its Facebook page.
The department would like to thank SPOA and the anonymous community do- nors for the gifts that were provided, and also gave thanks to all the "elves" who helped to wrap and distrib- ute all the gifts.
