Rural crash July 11 north of Reedley injures motorcyclist

An unidentified man suffered major injuries when the motorcycle he was riding crashed on a rural road north of Reedley on July 11.
The accident occurred at 3:20 p.m. on Englehart Avenue, about a half mile north of American Avenue, according to a California Highway Patrol official. The man lost control of his motorcycle and went off the roadway.
The CHP official said the victim com- plained of pain to his back when officials arrived on the scene. There is a sharp curve to the west where the accident occurred.
The victim was airlifted to Commu- nity Regional Medical Center in Fresno with unknown injuries.
On Mid Valley Times' Reedley Ex- ponent Facebook page, a relative of the victim posted that the man suffered a broken tailbone and other fractures and had undergone surgery. His condition was unknown as of July 16.
The July 11 accident was the first of two injury crashes in the Reedley area within a three-day period. The evening of July 13, a two-vehicle crash in north Reedley severely injured one person and led to the arrest of a driver on DUI-re- lated charges.

Paramedics and the California Highway Patrol were on the scene July 11 when an unidentified man lost control of his motorcycle and crashed on Englehart Avenue, about a half mile north of American Avenue, north of Reedley. The victim was airlifted to a hospital in Fresno, and his condition was unknown as of July 16.
