Eagles sweep first two league games
to Chowchilla on March 18. Reedley pushed across a run in the fourth and two more in the fifth to rally past Exeter, limiting the Monarchs to just three hits. In the loss to Chowchilla, Reedley fell behind 5-0 after 3 1/2 innings band never threatened. The visiting Tribe collected 11

Immanuel drops first two CSL contests
Immanuel High's girls got off to a rocky start in Central Sequoia League play. giving up double digits in losses at Kingsburg (22-1 on March 12) and at home against Ex- eter (13-0 on March 13). The Eagles' only offense came in the third inning against Kingsburg, which finished with 18 hits.
Immanuel (2-6-1, 0-2) was limited to two hits in the shutout loss to Exeter, and the Monarchs took advantage of three errors along with col- lecting nine hits of their own. The Eagles had an evening game at Dinuba on March 19; results were unavailable at press time.
Immanuel's next CSL game is at 4 p.m. Tuesday, at home against Selma.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL Pirates sweep Fresno in NYL opener
Reedley High's boys over- powered the visiting Fresno High Warriors in their NYL opening match on March 14, sweeping the match by scores of 25-10, 25-21 and 25-18. The Pirates (9-10, 1-0) later went 4-3 in matches at the Central Valley Challenge tournament hosted by Madera South High School on March 15-16.
Reedley had comeback victories over Fresno and Washington Union, swept Templeton in two sets and posted a forfeit victory over Golden Valley. The Pirate had road matches at Roos- evelt (March 19 and Wash- ington Union (March 20), then host McLane in a 5:30 p.m. league match on Thurs- day, March 21.

Immanuel High carried its hot non-league play into the Central Sequoia League portion of its schedule last week. The Eagles (9-1, 2-0) outlasted Kingsburg by a 3-2 score on March 12 before winning a 9-6 slugfest at Ex- eter High on March 15.
JT Friesen pitched a com- plete game six-hitter against the Vikings, striking out four and walking three while al- lowing one earned run. The Eagles rallied for the win with two runs in the bottom of the sixth before Friesen closed it out. Friesen knocked in two runs while Trace Pires doubled and had the other Immanuel RBI.
Against Exeter, the Ea- gles belted 14 hits led by Ro- mand Rosales (3-for-5, two RBI) and Derek Wood (3- for-6, two runs scored). Fri- esen, Matt Tiger and Justin Paboojian each had two hits while Pires picked up the pitching win with six-plus in- nings of work.
The Eagles hosted Dinu- ba in a night game on March 19; results were unavailable at press time. They then host Fresno Christian in the Foundation Game at 7 p.m. on Thrusday, March 21, be- fore returning to CSL action at Selma in a 4 p.m. start on Tuesday, March 26.

Reedley High will take a 7-6 season record into the start of North Yosem- ite League play on Tuesday, March 28, when they host Fresno High in a 3:30 p.m. start at RHS varsity field. Mighty Might Division: K thru 2nd Grade. Ages six to eight. Player cannot exceed 115 pounds.
ALL divisions: A participant’s age on December 1, 2019 determines the playing age.
All individuals must provide a copy of their 2018-2019 FINAL report card, a copy of a primary health insurance card, and a CURRENT wallet size photo. Scheduled JUNE dates will be announced to collect the copy of the FINAL report card.
The League requires an Original Certi ed birth certi cate at the time of contract certi cation. The original birth certi cate will be requested at a speci ed time in July. The original birth certi cate will be returned after the contract is certi ed.
A sports physical is required for all divisions. If you cannot get a timely appointment from your doctor, suggested quali ed locations will be listed on the information sheet that will be attached to the player contract.
