Good news - Dumbo, Kinbo and Midnight all went to Rescue - and even better news - since Feb. 2017 we have saved 300 animals!!!
We will be at the next three Street Faires and Farmers' Markets in downtown Sanger, each Saturday evening in September. Please come and meet our Pets of the Week and the rest of our orphans looking for a forever home.
Our Pets of the Week are:
• Rosie, who is about a year old, gets along with everyone, including other dogs and cats and loves to run and play; and,
• Bruce, a high energy shepherd mix who isprobablynotquiteayearold. Heloves romping, running, hugs and squeaky toys.
And, still at the shelter waiting to be your new best friend are:
• Knight, an energetic shepherd/malamute mix who is probably not quite a year old;
• Isabella,ahappypitbullladywitha
perpetual smiley face who gets along with everyone and just wants to cuddle and give you kisses; and,
• Tank, a big friendly pitbull boy who gets along well with people and other dogs and likes to go on long walks.
Call animal control officer Mario Irazoqui at (559) 618-9071 or message the Sanger Animal Shelter Facebook page and leave your email address to find out more about the adoption process which will involve home checks.
the Nation
What do you do when you have more than half a dozen injured players, including some of your key defensive personnel? You do what the Apaches did last week - outscore your opponent 49-41 and rely on the 12th man on the field to help pull you through - the stoic flag carriers and the rest of the Tribe with thundersticks, top photo, and the Nation with its own noise mak- ers - to keep up the chanting, cheering and tomahawk chopping. The Apaches have a week off before traveling to Paso Robles on Sept. 21 to play the Bearcats.
