I was next and landed on the Sanger Art Station. I decided to buy it for $290. Art station owner/artist Chieko Delgado had a new landlord. Funny that one of her posters for the Blossom Trail Festival, another game property, hung in the chamber offices.
Tammy started getting into the game. So did Mason and Jasnoor. But they weren’t quite so vocal.

Every Thursday — Color Me Calm-
“Wow,” Tammy said when her piece landed on city hall. “I’m going to buy city hall. They will be my employees. And I will take care ofthemandbea good director, a good owner.”
Then she promised that city employees would get raises and she’d pave roads.
I almost immediately landed on the space and had to pay Tammy $35 rent. She tried to overcharge me.
Mason landed on a one of three Big Fun spaces, which direct him to pick a card. The card sent him to the Depot Museum.
Jasnoor spent three turns in jail. Sanger- Opoly calls it “Traffic Jam.” Mason threw a pair of doubles and promptly landed on “Car Fine $75,” a space with an ominous police officer, who looks sort

Every Saturday at 10 a.m. Read to a Dog. Dogs love children and books, come read
of like Fish, or Abe Vigoda, from 1970s TV comedy “Barney Miller.”
Then Tammy giggled. She had pulled a card that read “Ate too many chili dogs at Chuck Wagon.” She missed a turn.
At this point, we were getting into the game like we’d played before and planned a marathon session. I told the other players how it reminded me of long drawn-out games we’d play when I was a kid in Fairbanks during the winter when nobody wanted to go outside. We’d all gather around the big table and have a great time.
I asked Mason what he thought of Sanger- Opoly. He nodded. “It’s pretty good,” he said. Then on his next move, he bought the Centerville Fruit
a story to a registered therapy dog from Tail Waggin’ Tutors. All school age children are welcome. For more information contact the Reedley Branch Library at (559) 638-2818 or visit fresnolibrary.org.

Station.
Karen, who came
to see how we were doing, pointed out that the business moved this season from Centerville because of the massive reconstruction of Highway 180. It’s now on Academy Avenue and called simply the Fruit Station.
Tammy bought Jensen Avenue. “I like this game,” she said. “I’m going to buy one. It’s so cute.”
Jasnoor bought the Southgate Shopping Center, home of Gong’s Market, the Sanger Herald’s biggest advertiser. The cost was $170. On his turn, Mason bought the Sanger Skate Park for the same amount.
Mason landed on Tom Flores Stadium but didn’t buy it. Tammy bought Avocado Lake. I went to jail. No,

Tammy bought Blossom Trail Festival for $310. “That’s a chamber event,” she said. “I know it’s worth a lot of money. It’s a big deal.”
Mason bought the Aquatic Complex. I asked if he was going to clean the pool. “Yup,” he said.
Jasnoor had to keep reminding everyone to collect $200 after passing Go, or “Go Sanger” as it says on the space.
We started having to pay rent to Tammy because she bought so many properties and we kept landing on them.
At one point, Mason asked if we could buy properties from each other, or trade them. We didn’t find a rule
with other Lego enthusiasts. They will be held every second and fourth Wednesday of each month for ages 5 years and older.
Hip Hop — An eight- week session is under way. Fridays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Register online through DASH or come by the Reedley Community Center. Details, (559) 637-4203.

Jasnoor consolidated their holdings to get an entire group of properties that share a color.
Both of them wanted to become moguls and put up hotels.
“Pretty good game,” Jasnoor said. She said it almost made her want to be a real estate agent. But she’s bound for a career as a doctor. “I’m definitely going to medical school,” she said.
Mason said he’s looking as something in computer science. Both he and Jasnoor had Sanger-Opolies when we decided to call it quits after about an hour.
And we had fun.
