Fresno County Ag- ricultural Commis- sioner Melissa Cregan, recently announced the beginning of the citrus bloom period for citrus growing in the District 3 (south of Belmont Avenue and east of Crawford Avenue) and District 4 (west of Academy Avenue and north of Belmont) regions.

Sanger police are looking for a suspect who was captured on video robbing the AM/PM at Academy Avenue and 5th Street the evening of March 30.
Officers responded to the gas station at ap- proximately 9:15 p.m. after receiving a report of an armed robbery. When they arrived, the suspect was gone. The clerk and witnesses said the suspect walked in, showed the clerk a gun and demanded money from the regis- ter. The suspect then fled on foot toward 5th Street before officers arrived.
Video images of the suspect showed that he was wearing a gray Champion brand hoodie, a black Nike hat, dark sweatpants, a black mask, and black and white athletic shoes.

• An injury traffic ac- cident involving a gray BMW hitting a male on a bicycle occurred at 8:22 p.m. in the area of Sierra and First.

During the ensu- ing days, personnel with the county De- partment of Agricul- ture will be check- ing citrus groves in these districts to de- termine when 10 per- cent bloom has been reached.
