Gunfire still being investigated
Primary election filing deadline
School board and city council races are in November
Herald staff report
Sanger police are still investigating a March 8 inci- dent that apparently started with a fight at a convenience store and ended up with a car crash and gunfire.
A fight inside the AM/ PM Market at Academy and
5th avenues broke up when the men involved took off in their cars, one man chasing the other, said witnesses.
The cars collided on Brehler Avenue at Vine Av- enue and one of the drivers began shooting at the other car, said police chief Silver Rodriguez.
Both cars were gone by the time officers arrived.
"Officers reviewed sur- veillance video at the store and recognized the men who were fighting," said Rodri- guez.
"Now they're trying to find them."
