Athletic lock Barrett joined the All Blacks as injury cover but went on to play all four matches on the Northern Tour. Barrett has been in impressive form for the Crusaders this season and played 30 minutes against Samoa last Friday.

Retallick is a world-class lock with a high work rate and uncompromising attitude, as well as his con dence in performing the lock’s core role. He had a big game against Samoa last week, in which he seemed to be everywhere.

A rugged, hard-tackling player noted for his robust defence and ability to apply pressure to opposition jumpers with con dent lineout jumping. He has been a reliable force for the Crusaders this season.

A key man for the All Blacks and one of the most experienced squad members. In 2017, he was Crusaders Captain, having ably handled captaincy duties the previous season. Made a smooth transition back to black against Samoa.

A true professional in every sense of the word, Cane has worked hard to come back from an ankle injury that delayed his return to Investec Super Rugby. He has had a big impact since rejoining the Chiefs and played the full 80 last week.
