TAVERN
The Ranger Tavern has now fully bedded
in since it’s official opening last year. By popular opinion the Cpls’ Mess was changed into “The Ranger Tavern” run by our own cross departmental, mixed rank team who bring new ideas and support that previously we didn’t have as a Mess.
The Tavern now provides a place to relax
for all members and encourages a ‘one team’ mentality across all roles and ranks. We see
it as a place of history for 4 RANGER and the antecedent regiments to be captured for future generations to look back on. We have already hosted guests of all natures and conducted events for unit and team cohesion. Guests have ranged from high-ranking Generals to international allies and partners and of course families, friends, and fellow British units. This has enabled networking across a vast number of groups enhancing operational success. Those events that have proved popular
and helped build success include monthly quiz competitions, family days, and Company smokers. Additionally, we have been fortunate to host lectures, courses, and briefings. All proceeds are put back into the Tavern to upgrade it, support further events and help the Battalion with PRI which has funded various Adventurous Training and away days, including a trip to the King’s Coronation Concert.
