2023
Some forty serving, retired and potential officers gathered at Seaview Yacht
Club on the Isle of Wight to contest the annual RIFLES Regatta. The sunshine was spectacular, but the wind was less so, leading to an early finish on day two, but enough races had been sailed for the prizes to be awarded. The results were:

Just over 600 Light Infantry veterans gathered at Shrewsbury Town Football Club (and in the pubs of Shrewsbury before and afterwards) in June to celebrate the 2023 Reunion.
The relentless march of time continues to reduce the numbers each year, but those who made it, not only from Cornwall, Somerset, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Yorkshire and Durham, but also from many other parts of the UK and abroad, enjoyed meeting old

friends, reliving campaigns and tasting
the beer. As in 2022, the Band became unavailable at the last minute, but the Veteran Buglers, led by Stan Wilkinson, and a sound system playing recorded marches, set up by Reunion Organiser Andy Rhodes, ensured that an impressive parade, with marching contingents from the KOYLI, KSLI, DLI, 1 LI,
2LI, 3LI and 5LI, rolled back the years and impressed the Inspecting Officer, Lt Col John Marsham.
