Year Five
Learning is maturing in Year Five as the children enter Upper Key Stage Two. In response, the children are encouraged to become increasingly independent in their learning and in how they interact with other children from the wider community; laying down the founda ons for transi on to secondary school with trips to Prince William School and free weekend masterclasses at Kimbolton School.
Exci ng themes – such as Ancient Egyp ans, Victorians and North America – keep Year Five’s passion for learning alive. The children also have an opportunity to achieve cycling quali ca ons through Bikeability, experience life as a Victorian at Holdenby House, and take part in our unique science day run in partnership with a major worldwide science corpora on.
Children in Year Five are also encouraged to take on jobs that help with the running of the school day, this helps them to become even more responsible and appreciate the importance of managing tasks e ec vely.
