The British Army All Stars (BAAS) Ice Hockey Team is an amalgamation of all Corps-quality players, whose individual Corps do not have a representative team, one of which is the RAPTC. The BAAS have gone from strength-to-strength this season with the handover of management to Sgt Turner-Hague (RDG), and has seen a full transformation from new jerseys, to training aids and more importantly, training camps and matches.
Whittaker Cup Sep 2023. The Whittaker Cup was a real pivotal point for the BAAS and it saw the team leave the ice with bronze medals for their efforts. This achievement has really fuelled the BAAS, giving them the belief that the rejuvenated team structure and additional training is working. This could not have happened without the support of our Corps mmbers, and for that, the team is extremely grateful.
BAAS Training Camp Feb 2024. The BAAS Training Camp was held at Telford Ice Rink and consisted of three days of arduous

physical training under the direction of the Swindon Avalanche Coach - Chris Parkinson. Over the course of the three days, the BAAS trained tirelessly, running drill after drill in the pursuit of excellence, some might say more training is required! The round up of the training saw the BAAS come away victorious in a head-to-head friendly with the Infantry Ice Hockey Team who worked us extremely hard, especially given that they had a short bench.
Look Forward. With the Tri-service championships just around the corner in Jun 24, the BAAS are getting themselves geared up to take on the best the Tri- Services have to offer, and they aim to bring back some silverware, watch this space! The team are currently in the planning stages of an OSV to Canada in 2025, which will see the BAAS go head- to-head with some extremely talented Canadian recreational ice hockey teams.
